About Us

The Evidence is a half-hour newsmagazine/docudrama television show that investigates the possibility of God in all its expressions. Through interviews with world-renown scientists who de-mystify the technologies of nature and artists who illuminate the wonder of life, The Evidence bridges the gap between science and theology, between ritual and the human heart.

The Evidence asserts that the idea of God, while not provable, is not irrational. Almost an "Introduction to God," The Evidence explores such fundamental questions as "Where did we come from?" and "Why are we here?" Studying not only the idea that God exists - but the transforming power of spirituality in the lives of everyday people.

Host Dwight Nelson takes us on a weekly reconnaissance tracing evidence of God through the world's cultures throughout history, virtually re-booting our spiritual consciousness replacing ignorance with revitalized understanding.

Dwight Nelson is senior pastor of Pioneer Memorial Church of Seventh-day Adventists on the campus of Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan. He began his pastorate there in 1983 and also serves as adjunct professor of homiletics at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary. Before taking his current position, Nelson pastored in Oregon for ten years.

Born in Tokyo, Japan, of missionary parents, Nelson converses in Japanese. He attended Far Eastern Academy in Singapore and graduated from Southern Adventist University, Collegedale, Tennessee, where he received a bachelor's degree in 1973. April, 1999, Dwight joined the Faith For Today team as host of the newest production, The Evidence. The Evidence is committed to a serious search for God - not simply to prove that He exists, but to begin to build bridges for eventual seekers to find a personal friendship with the Lord of Revelation 14. This program will look at Bible teachings in a fresh "un-stain-glassed" way.
